Qatar Self Sufficiency Exhibition 2018 hosts engaging workshop to promote overseas participation in pioneering event

Session highlights opportunities for leading players in international manufacturing and production lines to bring their latest innovations to Qatar 

Doha, Qatar – 11 December 2017: The pioneering Qatar Self Sufficiency Exhibition 2018, a first-of-its-kind event, has gone global in its drive to demonstrate how the country is building for a courageous and stimulating future by hosting an innovative workshop for overseas embassies and national trade organizations to emphasize how their countries can participate in the exhibition and contribute to the nation’s goals.

The informative workshop, which was held at Rotana City Center Doha Hotel on December 10 was attended by 32 Commercial Attaches and representatives from various embassies in Qatar.

The workshop provided delegates with detailed, in-depth information on the exhibition and its objectives. The aim of the session was to equip embassy and trade representatives with the tools to promote the exhibition in their home countries, highlighting the vast range of opportunities available for manufacturers, stakeholders, influential entities and key decision makers across production lines to showcase their latest innovations that can contribute towards Qatar’s National Vision 2030 (QNV) plan.

The session emphasized that the inaugural exhibition which will be held in April 2018, is looking to attract more than 120 leading exhibitors from around the world serving a whole gambit of sectors, including the food industry, pharmaceutical industry, agriculture, and other industries, as well as environmental sector such as recycling and sustainability plants. The event will be the place to be for leading manufacturing and production lines, and supply chain professionals.

From his side, Abdulrahman Saleh Al Obaidly, Chairman of Hisky for Tourism and Exhibitions, organisers of the Qatar Self Sufficiency Exhibition 2018, said: “We highly appreciate the participation of the embassies and trade offices representatives and their crucial role in initiating bilateral connection between Qatar and their countries across all sectors. The Qatar Self Sufficiency Exhibition 2018, will be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) from April 1-3, 2018 spanning more than 10,000 square meters of exhibition space.

Government ministry partners Inaugural expo that will serve as “pivotal stage” for exhibitors to showcase latest innovations to service productions lines in drive for diverse, sustainable national economy 

Doha, Qatar – 24 December 2017: – The organisers of Qatar Self Sufficiency Exhibition, has announced that the Ministry of Economy and Commerce is the Main Partner in the exhibition which is considered a first-of-its-kind event in Qatar and the region. The exhibition is recognised as a key driver in Qatar’s goal for a diverse, sustainable economy based on knowledge and innovation.
